Description
Cut and paste logic worksheet that integrates language learning and cognitive development. In this activity, children color, cut, and place fruit pictures into a 3×3 grid by following written positional clues.
This worksheet combines spatial reasoning, logical reasoning, and reading comprehension in a hands on puzzle format. Children use positional language such as above, below, next to, and between to determine where each fruit belongs.
The activity is based on relational thinking, where children interpret clues and connect them step by step to determine a complete arrangement. The cut and paste format links reasoning with physical action. As children read instructions, test placements, and adjust their answers, they process information visually, verbally, and physically at the same time.
For ESL learners, this provides a dual task challenge that engages working memory. Children decode English vocabulary while simultaneously applying logical constraints to determine the correct arrangement for the grid.

- Logical reasoning: using clues to solve the puzzle step by step through deduction.
- Reading comprehension: understanding and following written instructions to complete the task.
- Fine motor skills: using hand control and coordination for coloring, cutting, and pasting.
- Executive functioning: planning, sustained attention, and self-checking for accuracy.
